You indeed make a fair point and in the main, I would quickly agree with you about the quality of Soap Opera's in general. Case in point, Eastenders. Just because you have a multi-million pound budget, doesn't make it palpable.

What we are showing, is that on a relatively low budget, we can equal and better (through plot driven storylines) main stream TV, whilst giving people who would not normally have thought that they could follow their dream, the chance to be part of something real, whether that be behind the camera or in front of it and we further hope it could launch people's careers into various parts of the industry.

I must stress at this point, Casting Directors etc from high profile programmes have already been in touch for showreels.

From a professional point of view, I also agree about Drama, and that there is a severe lack of quality ones around, that is why I am happy to announce, that as a full member of The Writers' Guild of Great Britain, I have had the privilage to work at length, on a currently in production full feature starring Robert Powell, Emily LLoyd and a host of marketable, known named Actors and Actresses and Crew.

I fully understand if Soap is not your thing and that's fine, everyone has their own taste and viewpoint, however Chalkhill is quickly becoming (and I should know as one of the Writers') a Comedy Drama rather than a traditional Soap Opera.

I applaud the tenacity of all involved, but I'm just not tenacious enough to keep watching.

I do genuinely believe that it is a great project for the local community, and the subscription fee will guarantee a level of emotional investment and commitment I can't get from my no-name meat puppets on deferred payment.

But I'm banking on Michael Sheard being worth his fee ;-)

Thankyou for your comments and indeed everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

To address a few points. Yes, Rochelle's hair does change up to and including Episode 3. Naturally as you would expect, we do not film in sequence, however I can assure you that any continuity problems have been addressed.

Regarding fees. Chalkhill Lives is self funded at present and that means everyone taking part has to contribute to its forward and current planning. I can also assure you that everyone who takes part, takes their role, whether they be Cast or Crew, very seriously.

We know of nothing else, that for this fee, can get you seen globally, so quickly.

For further clarification, I can say that we are in the stages of planning 2005 storylines already.

Also, if you watch further episodes, you will come to understand the character Vicki Harris and why she thinks something as trivial as lipstick on her windscreen constitutes an insurance claim!

Futhermore, not everyone involved is inexperienced. There are certain people involved, who are very experienced in their craft, such as I, and I invite you to continue watching. I am sure you will find the upcoming storylines very interesting and in advance of current mainstream TV.
